Dialogue Between Somaliland & Somalia Would Never Be Fruitful
A British Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) spokeswoman
recently said: “We believe that it is for the Federal Government of Somalia and
Somaliland to reach agreement on their future together, and that it is for
those in the region to take the lead in recognizing the resulting agreement. We
continue to encourage both sides to engage in a sustained and structured
dialogue.”

Somaliland Improving Food Security with New Agricultural Scheme
The first harvest of cereals from an agricultural scheme aimed at boosting production and ensuring food security in Somaliland is finding its way into newly constructed grain silos.
Somaliland, which remains perennially food insecure, unveiled the 767-hectare schemes to grow a variety of crops such as wheat, millet, maize, beans and sesame several months ago
The seasonal emergency livelihood project which comprises three divisions is carried out in Tog-Wajale, Beir and Hahi localities.
It follows on from the recent severe drought, in which thousands were displaced and many lost their livelihoods.

HARGEISA, SOMALILAND
They perform feats that can be nerve-wracking simply to watch – building human pyramids high into the air, leap-frogging over one another, and tumbling down long mats at high speed.
But it’s all in a day’s work, or practice, for young Somaliland performers like 14-year-old Ahmed Yassin.
